Use of Grant Funds for the Realization of the Construction Project

This master's thesis describes an issue of preparation and evaluation of investment projects which are co-financed by EU funds. A practical example of the specific investment project is used to demonstrate a usefulness of co-financing by these funds. This investment project is processed as a case study which includes both financial and economic evaluation of the project. This evaluation also includes assessment of effectiveness and efficiency of this investment project.
Employment possibilities for graduates of the field of Municipal Engineering in the labor market in the EU

The aim of the bachelor's thesis "Employment of graduates of the field of Urban Engineering in the EU labor market" is to determine the possibilities of employment of graduates of this field in the EU labor market. This work deals with the issue of employment in the European Union. The field of urban engineering is a relatively young field in the Czech Republic, which has found its application and classification on the labor market in the EU. This work examines the labor markets in the member states of the European Union and compares the possibilities of employment in the labor market in the member states and the Czech Republic. The first part of the bachelor thesis deals with the theoretical part, which describes the various concepts related to this topic. The next part of the work is the practical part, where based on hypotheses, a questionnaire survey is evaluated and a controlled interview with the mayor, who represents a leading position in public administration.

ŠIBOR, V. Knowledge economy and labor market indicators in EU countries. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2019. The aim of this thesis is to analyze the relationship between the development of knowledge-based economies in EU countries and labor market indicators. The summary innovation index (SII), reported by the European Commission, is chosen as indicator of the development of the knowledge economy. Unemployment ac-cording to the highest education and employment in knowledge-intensive sectors are chosen as indicators of the labor market. The library research deals with the definition of the knowledge economy concept, its development, criticism and methods of measurement. At the end of the thesis there is a discussion about the impact of the tested results.

Europe 2020 strategy and its implementation by the Czech Republic

At the beginning of the Bachelor's Thesis, there is a description of the European union and its history after World War II, phases of the European integration and benefits it brings for the member states. Then the process of how the economic policy of the EU is directed and coordinated with the policy of each individual state. Furthermore, the Europe 2020 strategy, which has goal to create a competitive EU on the global market, is in detail described and five areas are defined: Employment, Poverty, Education, Research and development and Climate change and energy. Analysis itself focuses on the implementation of the national targets using secondary data and future analysis. Results of the analysis shows, that the Czech Republic is successfully fulfilling most of the targets. The recommendation for the private and public sector is to focus on employment of the socially excluded groups, education of the children in early, pre-school stage of life and overall support of young people and graduates. From a long-time point of view, these steps should maximize work potential and increase education of the population.
Competitiveness of Czech republic within the context of Europe 2020 strategy

Bachelor´s thesis deals with examination, comparison and analysis of the indicators of Europe 2020 strategy and the Europe 2020 Competitiveness Index in the period of the beginning of strategy implementation in 2010 till 2016. Thesis is divided into two compact parts. First, the theoretical one includes explanation of the term "competitiveness", characteristics of the Europe 2020 strategy and methodology of weighing national competitiveness regarding the model Europe 2020 of World Economic Forum. Second, the practical one is divided into two articles. First article dedicates to observation and analysis of the causes of progress towards the strategy goals acheived by Czech republic and European Union. Second article is dedicated to analysis of the competitiveness of EU and Czech republic according to mentioned model and to comparison with the countries of Visegrád Group as well. The last pasrt of the thesis contains an outcome of the facts found, list of the tables, images and graphs.

The Economic impacts of Active Employment Policy

This diploma thesis deals with the labour market and linked issues, such as unemployment, active employment policy, and the impact of employment policy from several points of view. The thesis aims to suggest solutions, which could lead to an increase of employment in the Czech Republic. The practical part describes the progression of employment in the Czech Republic and analyzes labour perspectives according to education level, social status, and biological attributes of the population. Furthermore, the paper explores the employment development prognosis in the Czech Republic until 2020. Outcomes, recommendations, and comparison with the main thesis objectives form the last part of this diploma thesis.
